Been watching MST3k - specifically "Agent for HARM", "Mitchell", and "Werewolf". Oh god so many lines that I keep laughing at, during inappropriate moments.
Now, as tagged by
violentfemmebot...10 things beginning with "R" that I like (and if you want your own letter, comment and I'll give you one):
1. Rain: Not the pouring, ohmigod-I'm-gonna-drown-in-the-street kind, but the nice showers during the spring and fall. I just like the feeling of wandering the streets with an umbrella.
2. Roxy Music: C'mon, you must've known this would come up. The songs still kill me, impress me, and...agh I'm still shocked about meeting Mr. Ferry.
3. Red Carpet Massacre: Yes, Duran's new album is still a big obsession. Granted, I first said NO NO NO to them working with Timbaland/Justin Timberlake, but that's only a few songs, and they're great. And then the rest of the tunes, where it's just DD...fabulous.
4. Robert Palmer: How I miss that man. Further reason that I wonder about how those men from Northern England end up all soulful - Stevie Winwood, Robert, Eric Burdon...A bunch of times I've put on Robert's albums and my dad goes "WHO WAS THAT?! Sounded pretty bluesy, jazzy..."
5. Rome: Obvious reasons. Everytime I run into people from the program they immediately say "I miss Rome." Scary to think that at this time last year, I was in Europe. Wow.
6. Rocky Horror Picture Show: I remember watching it when I was little in an insanely edited version on Comedy Central and being intrigued. Then being on VH1 a few years later on Halloween...and becoming obsessed. I think I love Susan Sarandon even more besides her great acting talents, just for being in a cult classic and awesome movie like RHPS.
7. "Random": I definitely use this term way too much, but it's perfect for describing anything where you want to say "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT" without offending someone.
8. Rhodes, Nick: Oh Nick, you crazy weirdo. Watching old Duran/Arcadia videos, I end up laughing at Nick...whether because he just looks way too feminine or because he says strange things in interviews. "HEY DON'T LAUGH AT OUR CAR!"
9. Reynolds, Debbie: I think realizing that Debbie was the love interest in "Singin' in the Rain" sealed it for me. I already loved her, then seeing her in that...aw she's so cute. And in "In & Out" she just kills me - "I need flowers and placecards and bridesmaids. It's like heroin."
10. "Retro": You all know I use that term a lot. I use it in the way that is not always condescending, but in that something is old-fashioned but cute; kitschy, yes, but charming.
